Etiquette

  • Shoes are not allowed on studio mats
  • Always bow onto the mat
  • Leave instruction up to the teacher, no teaching others during class
  • Late students are to stand at the edge of the floor/mat and ask permission to enter
  • Students do not leave the training floor without permission from the instructor
  • No food on the training floor, and only water is allowed on the mats
  • Shoes must be worn in bathrooms
  • Students are to address instructors as Professor, Sir, or Ma'am
  • Only instructors are to teach new material to students
  • Mouthguards are required for all sparring and live grappling sessions
  • Information for what is happening in the gym, upcoming events, accolades, and achievements will all be posted
  • White Gu's only for ALL classes
  • Lost and Found is donated by the 5th of every month. Please check regularly for your missing items
  • You must get permission to use any equipment
  • A gym bad is needed to keep all your gear and supplies together
  • Children in the waiting room are the responsibility of parent/guardian supervision

Code of Conduct

  • Be on time for class
  • Respect all instructors and training partners equally
  • When the instructor calls to line up, do so quickly
  • Do not teach other students during class unless instructed to do so
  • Students are not to leave class without permission from the instructor
  • Take pride in your Gi and make sure it is maintained properly
  • Personal hygiene needs to be a priority
  • Nails and toenails are to be kept trimmed and neat
  • No jewelry is allowed on the training floor
  • Inform instructors about incidents that happen inside and outside of class
  • Parents and students will be respectful of the training environment by controlling noise levels in and outside of the building
  • Always show good sportsmanship
  • Parents are not to interrupt class unless an emergency has taken place
  • Injuries or sickness must be reported to instructor prior to class beginning
  • Questions are encouraged with conversation happening at appropriate times
  • Conducting yourself inside and outside of the gym in a positive manner is something to be strived for

Membership may/can be terminated for conduct unbecoming inside and outside of the facility.
