Coach Jacob Smith is a dedicated Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructor and the twin brother of Professor Adam “Smash” Smith. A lifelong martial artist, Coach Jake began training in traditional martial arts and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at a young age alongside his brother—and has since built a strong reputation as one of the best beginner BJJ coaches in the Spokane area.
Currently leading our Adult Beginners Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Program at SMASH BJJ, Coach Jake specializes in helping new students build a strong foundation in grappling, self-defense, and Jiu Jitsu fundamentals. With years of experience competing in both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournaments and Mixed Martial Arts, Coach Jake brings a wealth of real-world knowledge to every class he teaches.
